These terms and conditions form an agreement between you and GradeUp Tuition LTD. In this document, any reference to “GradeUp Tuition LTD”, “Grade Up”, “the centre”, “the setting”, “the company”, “we”, “us” or “our” means GradeUp Tuition LTD, the business providing the service.
By signing these terms and conditions you agree to the following:-
1. You will be entered into a 4 week rolling contract and charges will still apply even if your child cannot attend a session for any reason. No refunds will be given for any lessons missed.
2. Your child will arrive on time with the relevant equipment e.g. pens, pencils and a calculator. They will be provided with a bag, folders and books – if the bag is lost or misplaced, it will incur a £3 charge.
3. If your child has a mobile phone it must be kept out of sight in their personal belongings, unless where the manager has allowed for the phone to be used. The only person who can use their mobile phone at the centre is the centre manager for centre purposes.
4. The centre takes no responsibility for any belongings brought to the centre; each child must ensure that they take their belongings with them.
5. Full payment is required at the beginning of your payment plan.
6. If your child arrives late for the session, extra time will not be added to make up for the time lost.
7. If your child is unable to attend, notice must be given prior to the start of the session*. This ensures there is communication between parents/carers and the centre staff in regards to the whereabouts of the child, if no communication takes place then the whereabouts of your child is unknown if your child fails to attend the centre, in which case Grade Up holds no responsibility.
8. If you wish to terminate the contract with Grade Up, we require four weeks notice, in writing (text messages are acceptable, we will send an acknowledgement text back. If you do not get a reply within 24 hours, we did not receive your message). You will be charged until the cancellation period has ended. If you wish to make amendments to the service you require i.e. change lessons – we require four weeks notice.
* Final notice time is 9.00 a.m. on the day of the session. Notice must be given via voice call or text message. We always reply back to text messages to acknowledge your text message, so if you have not received a reply back, then we have not received your message.
9. Cancellation outside the notice period will be charged as per the normal payment plan.
10. If no notice is given and the sessions are missed, the full fee for each session will be charged.
11. If your child is unwell or displaying symptoms of illness. i.e (high temperature, cough, sore throat etc) you MUST NOT send them in – if you do, we will send them home and charges will still apply.
12. Late session payments not paid within 7 days will incur a charge of £10 each week until the balance is paid in full.
13. Parents/Guardians (over 18), must inform the centre when cancelling sessions, notification for cancellation from childs will not be accepted.
14. We operate CCTV on our premises (footage saved for 10 days before it is automatically deleted).
15. Your child can go home on their own at the end of their session. It is your responsibility to ensure your child arrives to the centre and equally has the support in place to be collected. You are responsible for the child before they enter Grade Up and after leaving the setting.
16. Safeguarding and child welfare is of paramount importance and to that end we will always put the physical and mental wellbeing of all children first. This sometimes requires us to share information with other professionals. Where we can, our intention is always to consult and work with parents or carers to achieve the best outcome for the child. Sometimes circumstances exist that do not allow for that consultation and the centre has to take independent action in order to ensure a young person is safeguarded.
17. We aim to work in partnership with parents to deliver a high quality service for everyone. If for any reason we fall short of this goal, we would like to be informed in order to amend our practices for the future. The centre manager Atta Mohiuddin will be responsible for dealing with complaints. Please contact the manager if you need additional information on our complaints policy.
18. Inform the centre if your child has injuries sustained before coming to the centre is taking any medication and/or is suffering from any health problems.
19. We reserve the right to extend or terminate offers.
20. You understand that you cannot swap or exchange any rewards received as part of the Grade Up rewards system and you understand that Grade Up is not liable for any services or goods provided by a third party as part of the rewards system.
21. You understand your details will be passed on to a third party to recover debt.
22. You consent for Grade Up to take photographs of students for internal identification purposes, to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
23. You consent to photographs may also being used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to showcasing prize draw winners and celebrating student achievements. Unless you opted out at the time of registration.
